Overland Park, Kansas document errands: printing, fax, notary, passports and certified copies (2026)
Where to print, fax, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Overland Park, Kansas, the largest city in Johnson County, using only official and provider pages. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide or national rather than local. We label those. Most county offices that serve Overland Park are in Olathe, the county seat.
Printing, copying, scanning and fax
Johnson County Library
- Where and when: the Central Resource Library, 9875 W. 87th St., Overland Park, KS 66212, 913-826-4600, is open Mon–Thu 9 a.m.–8 p.m., Fri 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Sat 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sun 1–5 p.m. It lists a copier (scan to print) and a scanner among its amenities [4]. You can print and copy at all of the library's locations [1].
- Printing and copying: 15¢ per single-sided page and 30¢ double-sided in grayscale; 50¢ single-sided and $1 double-sided in color. Standard 8.5" x 11" white paper only (no legal size), and you can't load your own paper [1].
- Free daily allowance: library cardholders can print up to $1.50 a day at no cost. Upload or email print jobs and pick them up by the end of the same business day [1].
- Scanning: all Johnson County Library branches offer scanning [2]. We didn't find a scanning price.
- Fax: the library says it "does not offer faxing services." Its help page names nearby businesses that do, including, near Central, the FedEx Office at 13450 W. 87th St. Pkwy. and The UPS Store at 9218 Metcalf Ave., and says to call them for availability and pricing [2].
The UPS Store
The UPS Store #4279 at 9218 Metcalf (Regency Park Shopping Center, ZIP 66212), (913) 649-2925, lists printing, faxing and scanning, shredding and notary services. Its page lists hours of Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sat 8 a.m.–4 p.m. [19]. We didn't find prices on its page. The UPS Store has other Overland Park locations; this is the one nearest the Central library we checked.

Notary in Overland Park
- Library: "The Johnson County Library does not offer notary services," according to its help page, which says limited notary service may be available at Olathe Libraries and that many banks offer notary services if you have an account [3].
- The UPS Store: the 9218 Metcalf store lists notary service [19]. We didn't find its notary hours or price.
- Fees (statewide): the Kansas Secretary of State says "State law does not prohibit a notary from charging a fee for a notarial act." We didn't find a dollar limit in its notary page or handbook. Under K.A.R. 7-43-16 a fee must be disclosed to you and agreed to before the notarization, you must be told that the fee is permitted but not required by state law, and it must be collected at the time and recorded in the notary's journal [15][16]. Other states we cover set dollar caps instead: Nebraska's $5 acknowledgment cap, Utah's $10 per signature, Wyoming's $10 per notarial act and Colorado's $15 per document. Ask the price before you start.
- Spouses (statewide): a Kansas notary may not notarize a record in which the notary or the notary's spouse is a party or has a direct financial or beneficial interest [15][16]. We didn't find a broader Kansas rule on other relatives on the pages we checked.
- ID and journal (statewide): a notary may accept a driver's license, passport or other government ID that expired not more than three years before the notarization, and since January 1, 2022 Kansas notaries must keep a journal [15].
- Banks (national policy): Bank of America says notary service is available "at no cost to our customers" and "in many of our financial centers." Schedule an appointment. All signers must be present [17]. We didn't check which Overland Park branches offer it. For other banks, see free notary options.

We didn't find an Overland Park or Johnson County office that issues them.

Online through VitalChek, or by phone at 877-305-8315, they're $20 each plus a $15 expedited service fee; KDHE says online orders go out within 3 to 5 business days after it receives them. The IKAN mobile app charges $20 plus a $5 processing fee, one copy per order. We didn't find VitalChek's shipping prices on KDHE's pages [22]. Walk-in details are in our Topeka guide.
