Kearney, Nebraska document errands: printing, fax, notary, passports and certified copies (2026)
Where to print, fax, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Kearney, Nebraska, the Buffalo County seat, using only official and provider pages. This is not Kearney, Missouri. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide or national rather than local. We label those. Nebraska rules differ from Colorado's, Wyoming's and Utah's in several places, and we point those out.
Printing, copying, scanning and fax
Kearney Public Library
- Where and when: 2020 1st Avenue, Kearney, NE 68847, 308-233-3282. Mon–Thu 9 a.m.–9 p.m., Fri–Sat 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Sun 1–5 p.m., closed on public holidays [1].
- Printing: 10¢ a page in black and white and 50¢ in color, from library computers or by mobile printing. The library uses a pay-before-you-print system. Library cardholders get $1.00 in free printing at the start of each month, but it doesn't apply to mobile printing. For mobile printing, email your attachment to the library's print address with your name in the subject line, then tell the front desk when you arrive [1].
- Copying: black-and-white copies are 10¢ each at a self-service copier near the front desk, which takes quarters, dimes and nickels. There are no color copies [1].
- Fax: 10¢ a page at the front desk. Cover sheets are required and available at the desk. The library sends faxes only; it doesn't receive and hold them [1].
- Scanning: free. Flatbed scanners are in the computer lab and Makerspace, and scan-to-USB scanners are in the computer lab and at the front desk. They're first come, first served, and you can reserve one at a service desk or by calling 308-233-3282 [1].
- Notary: the library's services page doesn't list notary service [2]. We didn't find whether the library offers one.

The UPS Store #4791 at 22 W 56th St, Ste 107 (ZIP 68847), (308) 698-2220, lists printing, faxing and scanning, shredding and notary services. Its page lists hours of Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m., Sat 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and Sun 10 a.m.–3 p.m. [21]. We didn't find prices on its page.

Nebraska's caps are much lower than Utah's $10 per signature, Wyoming's $10 per notarial act and Colorado's $15 per document.
- Relatives (statewide): the Secretary of State says a Nebraska notary may not notarize a document signed by their parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, spouse, brothers or sisters, including in-laws, step and half relatives [15].
