Grand Island, Nebraska document errands: printing, fax, notary, passports and certified copies (2026)
Where to print, fax, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Grand Island, Nebraska, the Hall County seat, using only official and provider pages. This is not Grand Island, New York or Florida. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide or national rather than local. We label those. Nebraska rules differ from Colorado's, Wyoming's and Utah's in several places, and we point those out.

Notary in Grand Island
- Grand Island Public Library: "Please note that the Grand Island Public Library does NOT provide public notary services" [22].
- The UPS Store: the 1201 Allen Dr store lists notary hours as "Available 7 Days" [20]. We didn't find its price.
- Nebraska fee limits (statewide): under Neb. Rev. Stat. 33-133, a notary may charge $5 for taking an acknowledgment, $5 for each certificate and seal, $2 for taking an affidavit and seal, and $2 for administering an oath or affirmation, plus mileage for serving notice. A state or local government employee may not charge these fees if the employer paid the notary's commission and bond fees [12]. Nebraska's caps are much lower than Utah's $10 per signature, Wyoming's $10 per notarial act and Colorado's $15 per document.
- Relatives (statewide): the Secretary of State says a Nebraska notary may not notarize a document signed by their parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, spouse, brothers or sisters, including in-laws, step and half relatives [14].
- Commissions (statewide): the Secretary of State commissions Nebraska notaries. Its online filing process for notary forms took effect November 20, 2023 [13].
- Banks (national policy): Bank of America says notary service is available "at no cost to our customers" and "in many of our financial centers." Schedule an appointment. All signers must be present [17]. We didn't check whether there's a Bank of America branch in Grand Island. For other banks, see free notary options.
