Olathe, Kansas document errands: printing, fax, notary, passports and certified copies (2026)
Where to print, fax, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Olathe, Kansas, using only official and provider pages. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide or national rather than local. We label those. Olathe is the Johnson County seat, so the county district court and Register of Deeds are both in the city.
Printing, copying, scanning and fax
Olathe Public Library
- Where and when: Downtown Library, 260 E. Santa Fe, Olathe, KS 66061, and Indian Creek Library, 16100 W. 135th St., Olathe, KS 66062. Both list (913) 971-6850. The library lists hours of Mon–Thu 9 a.m.–8:30 p.m., Fri 9 a.m.–6 p.m., Sat 10 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sun 1–5 p.m. [21].
- Printing: 15 cents a page in black and white and 50 cents in color, with a $50 printing maximum (333 black-and-white or 100 color prints) [20].
- Copies: 15 cents per side in black and white and 50 cents in color [20].
- Scanning: free, on ScanEZ equipment, up to around 100 MB or 50 pages [20].
- Fax: we didn't find fax service on the library's printing and copying page [20].
The UPS Store
The UPS Store #5238, 119 N Parker St, Olathe, KS 66061, (913) 829-8686, lists faxing, shredding and notary services. Its page lists hours of Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m., Sat 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and Sun 10 a.m.–3 p.m. [2]. We didn't find prices on its page. The company lists two other Olathe stores [2].
See printing prices and fax prices.
Notary in Olathe
- Library (free): the Olathe Public Library offers notary service at both libraries, Downtown (260 E. Santa Fe St.) and Indian Creek (16100 W. 135th Street), by appointment only, and there's no cost. Allow up to 48 hours for a notary to reply with an appointment time. Library notaries can't notarize wills, trusts, powers of attorney, or passport or visa-related documents, or copies of birth, death or marriage certificates [22]. We didn't find set notary hours.
- The UPS Store: the 119 N Parker St store lists notary service [2]. We didn't find its notary hours or price.
- Fees (statewide): the Kansas Secretary of State says "State law does not prohibit a notary from charging a fee for a notarial act." We didn't find a dollar limit in its notary page or handbook. Under K.A.R. 7-43-16 a fee must be disclosed to you and agreed to before the notarization, you must be told that the fee is permitted but not required by state law, and it must be collected at the time and recorded in the notary's journal [15][16]. Other states we cover set dollar caps instead: Nebraska's $5 acknowledgment cap, Utah's $10 per signature, Wyoming's $10 per notarial act and Colorado's $15 per document. Ask the price before you start.
- Spouses (statewide): a Kansas notary may not notarize a record in which the notary or the notary's spouse is a party or has a direct financial or beneficial interest [15][16]. We didn't find a broader Kansas rule on other relatives on the pages we checked.
- ID and journal (statewide): a notary may accept a driver's license, passport or other government ID that expired not more than three years before the notarization, and since January 1, 2022 Kansas notaries must keep a journal [15].
- Banks (national policy): Bank of America says notary service is available "at no cost to our customers" and "in many of our financial centers." Schedule an appointment. All signers must be present [17]. We didn't check which Olathe branches offer it. For other banks, see free notary options.

The IKAN mobile app charges $20 plus a $5 processing fee, one copy per order. We didn't find VitalChek's shipping prices on KDHE's pages [24]. Walk-in details are in our Topeka guide.
