Fishers, Indiana document errands: printing, fax, notary, passports and certified copies (2026)
Where to print, scan, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Fishers, Indiana, using only official and provider pages. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide or national rather than local. We label those.
Printing, copying, scanning and fax
Hamilton East Public Library (HEPL), Fishers branch
- Printing: 10¢ per single-sided black-and-white sheet and 25¢ per single-sided color sheet, in the computer lab [1]. The fee list says computer printouts are pre-paid and the list may change without notice [11].
- Wireless printing: same prices. Send the job at print.princh.com with the Fishers Library printer ID 107090, then pay and pick it up at a Print Release Terminal within 24 hours [12].
- Copying and scanning: black-and-white copies are 10¢ and color copies are 25¢ per single-sided sheet. The copiers can scan to email or a flash drive [1].
- Fax: we didn't find fax service on the HEPL pages we checked [1][11]. That isn't the same as saying there is none; ask the library.
- Where and when: 5 Municipal Drive; 317-579-0300. Hours are Monday–Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday–Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. [13]. The Census Geocoder places the branch in Fishers city [8].
- The UPS Store: it lists 2 locations in Fishers, at 11650 Olio Rd (Fishers East/Geist) and 11722 Allisonville Rd. Its city page says its stores offer packing, shipping, printing, shredding, notarizing, faxing and mailbox services [14]. We didn't find prices: the Olio Rd store pages don't list any [15][16], and The UPS Store's site says products, services, prices and hours may vary by location [17]. The Census Geocoder places the Olio Rd store in Fishers city; it didn't match the Allisonville Rd address, so we couldn't confirm that store is inside city limits [14][8].
See printing prices and fax prices.
Notary in Fishers
- Fishers City Clerk: the clerk's page lists, among the clerk's duties, "administering oaths when necessary, taking depositions, taking acknowledgment of instruments that are required by statute to be acknowledged, without charging a fee." It doesn't describe a walk-in notary service, so call before you go: 3 Municipal Drive, 317-595-3111, Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. [18].
- Library: we didn't find notary service on the HEPL pages we checked [1][13].
- The UPS Store Fishers East/Geist: 11650 Olio Rd, Suite 1000, says it has a commissioned notary public; bring a valid government-issued photo ID and complete, unsigned documents [16]. We didn't find prices.
- How notaries are commissioned (statewide): in Indiana, notaries are commissioned by the Secretary of State for eight-year terms. Applicants pay a $5 processing fee, get a $25,000 assurance (bond) and complete the required education and exam [19].
- Fees (statewide law): Indiana Code caps notary fees at "not more than ten dollars ($10) per signature" for acknowledgments, oaths and affirmations, witnessing a signature, verifications and certifying a copy. Fees for other acts are negotiable. A notary who charges must display a list of fees in advance. A travel fee is allowed up to the federal GSA travel rate. Public officials and their deputies may not charge for notarial acts done as part of official business [19].
- Remote notarization (statewide law): a remote notary may charge "not more than twenty-five dollars ($25) for each remote notarial act" [19].

- Which office: Hamilton County says the City of Fishers Health Department handles vital records for events in Fishers after April 24, 2020, and that certificates recorded before that date are at the Hamilton County Health Department [7]. The Fishers Health Department says it provides records for anyone born or who died in Indiana from 1907 to the present [2].

Fees aren't refunded and don't include third-party fees for online or phone orders [10]. Local health departments set their own fees; see the county fees above.
- In person (statewide): the state office has no walk-in service. To buy a certificate in person, go to the local health department in the county where the birth or death happened [10][23].

- Who can order (statewide): you need a direct interest, a documented financial or legal interest, or a close family tie (parent, adult sibling or grandparent) to the person named on the record [24].
Marriage licenses (Hamilton County Clerk)
- Marriage licenses (statewide): in Indiana, the county clerk issues marriage licenses. Both of you apply in person at the clerk's office in an Indiana county where one of you lives; couples from out of state apply in the county where they will marry. The fee is $25.00 if one or both of you live in Indiana and $65.00 if neither does. Some offices add a $4.00 document fee, and each certified copy is $4.00. Most counties require cash. The license is valid for 60 days, and you can marry the same day. You'll need ID and your Social Security number [9].
- Copies (statewide): certified copies of marriage licenses come from the clerk of the county where the license was issued, not from the state health department [25].
- Hamilton County Clerk: fill out the online application, then book an application meeting. Meetings are by appointment only, online or in person at the clerk's office in Noblesville, and both of you must attend the same meeting [4]. The office is at 1 Hamilton County Square, Suite 106, Noblesville; 317-776-9629; marriage applications 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday–Friday [4].

- What it can authenticate (statewide): Indiana vital records only; marriage, divorce, death and birth certificates don't need notarization, but other documents do. A marriage license must first be certified by the current circuit court clerk of the county where the marriage took place. Federal documents go to the U.S. Department of State [28].
