Fayetteville, Arkansas document errands: printing, fax, notary, passports and certified copies (2026)
Where to print, fax, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Fayetteville, Arkansas, using only official and provider pages. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide or national rather than local. We label those.
Printing, copying, scanning and fax
Fayetteville Public Library
- Printing: $0.10 for black and white and $0.25 for color. You can print from library computers, your own phone or laptop through Princh, or by email, then release the job at the print release station; FPL takes Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other mobile payments [1].
- Copies: FPL's copy machine is self-service [1]. Its 2017 fee schedule, the latest we found, lists copies and printing at $.10 per side and $.25 per side for color, including mistakes [5].
- Scanning and fax: document scans are free, and faxing is $1 a page, at the Copy & Print center on the 4th floor [1].
- Where and when: 401 W. Mountain St., Fayetteville, AR 72701; 479.856.7000. Hours: Monday–Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. [1][6]. FPL lists building closures on its hours page [7].
- Parking: FPL has a covered parking garage off Mountain Street and a south lot behind the library on School Avenue, plus street spots on both streets [7]. We didn't find parking prices.
- The UPS Store: it lists 2 locations in Fayetteville: 3589-3 N Shiloh Dr, (479) 527-0499; and 1722 N College, Ste. C, (479) 442-5036. Its city page says they offer packing, shipping, printing, shredding, notarizing, faxing and mailbox services [8]. We didn't find prices on the store pages; The UPS Store's site says products, services, prices and hours may vary by location [9].
- Where the UPS stores are: the Census Geocoder places both inside Fayetteville city [10].
See printing prices and fax prices.
Notary in Fayetteville
- Library: FPL's site links to a "Schedule a Notary" booking page [1]. We couldn't read the booking page itself, so we didn't find whether the service is free, its hours or what to bring. Call FPL at 479.856.7000 before you go [1].
- The UPS Store: its Fayetteville page lists notarizing [8].
- Fees (statewide): Arkansas sets no dollar amount. The Secretary of State's 2025 Notary Handbook says Arkansas notaries "are not required to charge for their services"; if a notary does charge, the amount must be reasonable and disclosed to and agreed upon by both you and the notary before the notarial act, citing A.C.A. § 21-6-309. The same rule applies to electronic notaries [11].
- ID and records (statewide): the handbook says Arkansas law doesn't specify "acceptable" identification and recommends a current ID card with the signer's picture and signature. The law doesn't require notaries to keep a journal, though the handbook recommends one [11].

Birth, death, marriage, court and recorded-document copies
Birth, death, marriage and divorce records: Arkansas Department of Health (statewide)
- Fees (statewide): the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) charges $12 for the first copy of a birth certificate and $10 for each additional copy of the same record ordered at the same time [3]; a death certificate is $10 for the first copy and $8 for each additional copy [14]. Certified copies of marriage and divorce records are $10 per copy [15][16]. If no record is found, state law requires ADH to keep the first-copy fee ($12 for births, $10 for the others) as a search fee [3][14][15].
- Online and phone (statewide): orders through ADH's online vendor add a $5.00 processing fee and a $1.85 identity verification fee, plus any expedited shipping; ADH says online birth certificate orders take 7–14 business days plus shipping. Phone orders: (866) 209-9482 [3][15].
- Walk-in (statewide): ADH Vital Records, 4815 West Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205 (across from War Memorial Stadium), Monday–Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed state holidays. Most requests are filled the same day if you arrive by 4:00 p.m. with acceptable ID; non-routine requests such as corrections, court orders and genealogy before 1935 aren't guaranteed same-day. You can also order a birth certificate at a local health unit [3]. Walk-in payment: cash, credit or debit card, or a check or money order to the Arkansas Department of Health (no temporary checks) [3].
- By mail (statewide): send the application, a check or money order (no cash) and a copy of acceptable ID to ADH Vital Records, Slot 44, 4815 West Markham Street, Little Rock, AR 72205; allow 10–14 days plus mail time [3].

- Statewide: we didn't find a statewide circuit court copy fee schedule.
Apostilles (statewide)
- Fee: the Arkansas Secretary of State charges $10 per document for an apostille and $5 per document for a certification. It lists no expedite fee and says it strives to process requests within 24–48 hours of receipt [21]. A 4% convenience fee is added to credit and debit card payments [22].
- Where to send it (two offices, both in Little Rock): documents with an elected official's seal, such as marriage licenses, divorce decrees and judgments, go to the Elections Division, State Capitol, Room 026, (501) 682-5070 or (800) 482-1127. State agency documents and notarized documents, such as diplomas, transcripts and birth, marriage and death certificates, go to the Business & Commercial Services Division, 1401 West Capitol Ave., Suite 250 (one block east of the Capitol), (501) 682-3409 or (888) 233-0325. You can submit by mail or in person, and either office can help if you have both kinds [21].
- Which copy: a notarized photocopy of a birth certificate isn't accepted; it must be the original or a certified copy from ADH Vital Records. Immigration, citizenship and U.S. Department of State documents can't be apostilled by the state [21].
- Payment and return: cash, check or money order to the Arkansas Secretary of State; Business & Commercial Services also takes cards, but the Elections Division doesn't. You don't need a return envelope unless you want express return, which needs a prepaid air bill [21].
