Where to print, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Miami, Florida, using only official and provider pages. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide, countywide or national rather than local. We label those.
Printing, copying, scanning and fax
Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS)
- Prices: you get 25 free print/copy pages a day. After that it's 10¢ a page [1]. The county's library fee schedule, effective Oct. 1, 2026, lists black-and-white printing and photocopies at $0.10 a page and color at $0.25 a page, after the first 25 free [8]. Mobile printing is 10¢ per black-and-white print and 25¢ per color print [9].
- Copiers and scanners: public copy machines are at every library location except the UHealth | Jackson Station Library Kiosk. Every branch except that kiosk has at least one public computer with a free scanner. If you don't have a library card, you can show any form of ID at the service desk for a courtesy guest pass [1].
- Fax (pages differ): the library's computers page says "Fax machines are not available" [1]. The county fee schedule's 10¢ line is for "Computer/Mobile Printing, Faxing and Photocopies" [8]. Call the branch before you go.
- Where: the Main Library is at 101 West Flagler Street, tel. 305-375-2665 [10]. For the week of Nov. 2, 2026, its branch page listed Monday–Saturday 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and closed Sunday [10]. The Census Geocoder places it in Miami city [7].
- Miami-Dade Clerk: copies of recorded documents are $1 a page, plus $2 to certify the document [11].

A photocopy certificate is $14 for the first copy and $4 for each additional copy. Rush service is $10 more, and shipping is $1 [28].

Records before 2009 need the $10 rush fee for same-day walk-in service, when available [29].

Marriage licenses (Miami-Dade Clerk of the Court and Comptroller)
- Who issues licenses (statewide law): a county court judge or the clerk of the circuit court [30].
- Waiting period (statewide law): if you don't give the clerk certificates showing you finished a premarital preparation course, the license takes effect 3 days after you apply. The clerk must make exceptions for people who don't live in Florida and for couples who claim hardship, and a county judge may waive the wait for Florida residents with good cause [31].
- Course discount (state law has two figures): the course must be at least 4 hours, and section 741.0305 says it cuts your license fee by $32.50 [32]. Section 741.01 says the fee is reduced by $25 for couples with course certificates [30]. Check the county fee below for what you'd actually pay.

The mail address is Marriage License Bureau, Overtown Transit Village South, 601 NW 1 Court, Suite 1900, Miami, FL 33136. Personal checks aren't accepted. - Fee (statewide): $10.00 per document, or $20.00 per document certified by any Florida county Clerk of the Court ($10 for the apostille and $10 for a certificate of incumbency) [40]. State law caps the apostille fee at $10 per apostille [42].
