- The UPS Store: its Meridian page lists notarizing [12]. We didn't find store notary prices; Idaho's legal maximum is below.
- Fees (statewide): Idaho law caps a notary's fee at $5.00 for any notarial act. A notary may also be paid the actual and reasonable expense of travel to where the act is performed [9].
- Employers (statewide): an employer may bar a notary it employs from charging for notarial acts done as part of the job, but can't make the notary hand over a fee that was charged [9]. Idaho's $5 cap is lower than Nevada's $15 and Montana's and Wyoming's $10.

Birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates: Idaho Vital Records (statewide)

- State price: $16.00 for each certified copy of a birth, death, marriage or divorce certificate, and $16.00 for each record search (a letter is sent if nothing is found). Optional rush processing is $10.00. All fees can be paid with one check or money order [10].
- Processing time: 2–3 weeks for rush orders and 3–5 weeks for standard orders, counted from when a complete order arrives and not including mail time [17]. Rush fees don't cover express shipping; orders are mailed by USPS [10].
- Online (VitalChek): a $10.50 nonrefundable processing fee, $10 per event for rush, and $21 for UPS shipping to most areas [17].
- Records held: death certificates filed since July 1911 [18] and marriage and divorce certificates from May 1947 on. Death, marriage and divorce certificates are confidential for 50 years. For a divorce decree, contact the county where the divorce was granted [18][19].
- Apostille routing: for an extra $10.00 per order, plus the $10.00 Secretary of State fee and the apostille application, Vital Records will deliver your certificate to the Secretary of State [10].

- Notary: the Recorder's Office notarizes only documents being recorded there [2].
- Statewide law: Idaho sets county recorder fees by statute: $15 to record a deed, $45 for a trust deed or mortgage, $25 for a power of attorney, and $10 for the first page plus $3 for each additional page for most other documents. Copies are $1.00 a page and each certificate under seal is $1.00 [21].
Court records: Ada County (Fourth Judicial District)
- How to ask: copies of documents filed in a court case are requested through the Ada County Clerk's Office. Court records not in a case file need a written request to the Trial Court Administrator, by email or in person at the Ada County Courthouse, 200 W. Front Street, Boise; oral requests aren't considered [3]. We didn't find a county court copy fee page.
- Fees (statewide law): the clerk of the district court charges $1.00 a page for a copy of any file or record, 50 cents a page to compare and conform a copy you prepared, and an additional $1.00 for the certificate and seal [22].
Apostilles (statewide)
