Printing, copying, scanning and fax
Roswell Public Library
- Copies: ask at the front desk. Copies are black and white only, can be double-sided ($0.25 per side) and can only be made on letter-size paper [1].
- Print from your device: print through Princh to printer ID 108325. The printer is black and white only, $0.25 per page. Jobs are held for up to 2 hours, then deleted. Pay and release the job at the front desk [2].
- Public computers: residents need a library card; non-residents can agree to the rules and register for a tech card. Printing is black and white at $0.25 per page. Students doing homework can sign up for a computer in the children's area and print free [3].
- Scan: a public scanner near the front desk; a USB drive is required. The scanner has no network connection, so it can't print or email; use a public computer for that [4]. We didn't find a scanning fee on the page.
- Fax: we didn't find a public fax service on the library's service pages [1][2][3][4].
- Address and hours: 301 N Pennsylvania Avenue, Roswell, NM 88201, 575-622-7101. Mon–Thu 10 a.m.–7 p.m., Fri–Sat 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Sun 2–6 p.m. [1].

Copy certifications are $.50 a page with a $5.00 minimum. A travel fee is allowed only if you agree to it in advance and are told it's separate and not required by law. Electronic notarizations may add a technology fee of no more than $25 per act. An employer can't set higher fees [11]. Nebraska's acknowledgment cap is also $5; Utah's is $10 per signature, Wyoming's $10 per notarial act and Colorado's $15 per document, and Kansas has no dollar cap.
- Spouses (statewide): a New Mexico notary may not notarize a record in which the notary or the notary's spouse or domestic partner is a party or has a direct beneficial interest [11]. We didn't find a broader rule on other relatives on the pages we checked.
- ID and journal (statewide): a notary may not act without identifying you as required by 14-14A-6 NMSA 1978, and must keep a journal that records the fee charged [11]. New Mexico's Revised Uniform Law on Notarial Acts has applied since January 1, 2022 [12].
- Banks (national policy): Bank of America says notary service is available "at no cost to our customers" and "in many of our financial centers." Schedule an appointment. All signers must be present [13]. We didn't check which Roswell branches offer it. For other banks, see free notary options.
