Salem, Oregon document errands: printing, fax, notary, passports and certified copies (2026)
Where to print, fax, notarize, apply for a passport and get certified copies in Salem, Oregon (not Salem, Massachusetts), using only official and provider pages. Each fact links to its source. Some facts are statewide or national rather than local. We label those.
Printing, copying, scanning and fax
- Salem Public Library: printers and photocopiers are at both the Main Library, 585 Liberty St. SE, and the West Salem Branch, 395 Glen Creek Rd. NW. Phone 503-588-6315 [9].
- Printing and copying: black and white printing or photocopying is free for the first 10 pages, then 25 cents per additional page; color is $1.25 per page [9].
- Fax: a fax machine is on Floor 1 of the Main Library. Faxing is free to local and toll-free numbers; long-distance faxing isn't available [9].

Notary in Salem
- Library: we didn't find notary service on the Salem Public Library pages we checked [9][11].
- The UPS Store: its Salem page lists notarizing [10]. We didn't find store notary prices; Oregon's legal maximum is below.
- Fees (statewide): Oregon law says a notary's fee "may not exceed $10 per notarial act," or $25 for a notarial act performed remotely under ORS 194.277 [8]. The Secretary of State's rule, OAR 160-100-0400 (amended effective Feb. 18, 2021), sets the same caps: no more than $10 per notarial act and no more than $25 per act for a remote online notarization [12].
- Extras (statewide): a notary may also charge a fee for traveling to perform a notarial act; the rule sets no amount [12]. Under the statute, the notary must explain beforehand that the travel fee is on top of the notarial fee and not set by law, and you must agree to it in advance. A notary who charges fees must display a list of them in English [8]. Oregon's $10 cap is lower than Washington's $15 and twice Idaho's $5.
