Where to get a document notarized and copied in one trip (2026)
If you need a document notarized, then copied, scanned or mailed, the place you pick decides how many stops you make. This page compares The UPS Store, FedEx Office, banks and public libraries using only their official pages. For prices, see our notary, photocopy and shipping guides.
Not legal advice. This page is general information. A notary can't tell you what your document should say, and neither can we. For that, ask an attorney or whoever asked you for the document. Errand Desk isn't affiliated with any government agency or with the businesses listed here.

Only what each organization's own pages say. "Not stated" means the page doesn't say, not that the service is unavailable. Store and library pages are examples, and other locations may differ.

Can The UPS Store notarize, copy and ship in one visit?
Yes, at participating locations. The UPS Store's notary page says notary is "available at participating locations" [1]. Its copies page says "once your documents are notarized, the center will help you make any necessary copies and ship them where they need to go" [2]. Its domestic shipping page says, "After assisting you with notarizing, our in-store experts can make as many copies as you'd like and send them anywhere they need to go" [3].
One store page, as an example, says it can make copies of notarized documents, scan them to a PDF, fax them, or ship them by UPS or the U.S. Postal Service. It lists notary at "$6 for each signature" [4]. Prices are set by each store. Our notary guide and photocopy guide have more store examples.
Notary hours can be shorter than store hours. One store, as an example, has a notary weekdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday) and not on weekends. It needs no appointment, but you can book one online [5].
Does FedEx Office notarize documents?
Not in its stores. FedEx Office says "documents can only be notarized online on your own device with audio and visual capabilities; however, a FedEx Office location can help you before and after your online notary session." It suggests scanning paperwork at a store first, then printing the notarized document and shipping hard copies afterward [6].
The online notary costs $25 for a single document. Each additional notary seal is $15, and each witness is $15. You need a valid government-issued photo ID and a U.S. Social Security number. FedEx Office says it can't be used for documents meant for use outside the United States [6]. For copy prices, see the photocopy guide.
Can a bank or library notarize and copy at the same time?
Banks and libraries often notarize for free, but their notary pages don't say they'll copy or mail for you. Bank of America does not charge a fee for notary services, and you schedule a financial center appointment [9]. More banks are in our free notary guide.
Some libraries offer both a free notary and printing. Ann Arbor District Library notarizes free by appointment and charges $.10 a page for printing after the first 30 free pages [10][11]. Columbus Metropolitan Library notarizes free by appointment and charges $0.10 a page for black-and-white printing [12][13]. These pages list printing prices, not copier prices. To mail afterward, see the shipping guide.
What to bring so you only make one trip
- A valid government-issued photo ID for each signer [1][12].
- Every signer, and any witnesses. Some documents need witnesses, and not all locations can provide them [1]. Columbus Metropolitan Library asks you to bring all signers and witnesses [12].
- All pages of the document, unsigned. Bank of America suggests you don't sign or date it before the visit, and to bring all pages, not just the signature page [9].
- The delivery address, if you'll ship it. See what to bring to ship.
- A file on a flash drive or in the cloud, if you'll print something there. FedEx Office mentions printing from email, a flash drive or the cloud [6].
Tips before you go
- Call ahead about the notary. UPS Store notary is at participating locations, and many don't notarize I-9s or wills [1]. Check notary hours, which may differ from store hours [5].
- Book library and bank notaries ahead. Ann Arbor, Columbus and Bank of America all use appointments [9][10][12].
- A copy isn't a certified copy. If someone asks for a certified copy, ask them what they'll accept. Columbus Metropolitan Library, for example, won't certify "true copies" [12].
- Need it for use in another country? FedEx Office's online notary isn't for that [6]. Ask whoever requested the document what they need.
